Check out scenes from the time capsule burying ceremony in Lakewood's newly renovated Civic Center Plaza. Items inside the time capsule include: an iPhone 5, Lakewood city budget, copies of some Lakewood laws passed this year by City Council, the City’s first-ever Sustainability Plan adopted this year, Lakewood’s bike and recreation map, a commemorative coin from Lakewood’s status as a 2011 All-America City, material from the grand opening of the light rail W Line and other items. The Masonic Grand Lodge of Colorado led the cornerstone ceremony and burial of the time capsule, which is expected to remain buried for 100 years.
