The Youth Educational Tour (YET) program is conducted on a quarterly basis – on the first Wednesday of March, June, September and December, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Program participants presently include Jefferson County Public Schools, Red Rocks Community College, the American Job Center, City of Lakewood Lakewood recreation centers, the Jefferson Center for Mental Health and the Jefferson County Public Health Department.
Each presenting agency presents an overview of services and highlights of their program(s) for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. After the overview is completed, individual program “breakouts” occur where youth/parents will be able to discuss the highlights of a specific program as well as the benefits of a youth’s participation in that program.
Each youth participating in the YET program will have a “passport” which will need to have been “stamped” or signed as they are required to visit each station as well as ask at least one question of that program.
This program is also open to the general public so there may be participating youth and families in attendance who are not juvenile-justice involved. If you need any additional information or have any questions about the YET program, please feel free to contact Jennifer Zubalik firstname.lastname@example.org
